We challenge ourselves to continuously learn and evolve in our role as therapeutic allies. In addition to maintaining our professional licenses and affiliations, we attend trainings in evidence-based approaches and participate in consultation regularly.

We take our work seriously and value learning, humility, and creativity when it comes to caring for our clients. We provide a safe environment, affirming relationships, and science-based therapy.

 CAROLINE THOMAS, LMSW (SHE/HER/HERS)

Caroline believes whole-heartedly that every person has adapted to do the best they can, often unaware of how strong they’ve been in the face of overwhelming circumstances. She sees therapy is as much an excavation as a process of growth and evolution: digging into the stories we've created about ourselves and then challenging the assumptions and interpretations we've made along the way.

The foundation of Caroline’s clinical work is a warm and authentic relationship with her clients and a deeply held conviction that healing requires restoring trust in the innate wisdom of our bodies. Her practice is rooted in a passion for helping clients achieve healthy relationships and happy, fulfilling lives. Her approach is based on research: treatments that have been proven to help people find real solutions to real problems.

Caroline has been a clinical social worker since 2009, working in the child welfare system as well as community mental health as a therapist and a clinical supervisor. She opened Head & Heart in 2018 in the hopes of creating a transformative and healthy work environment for clinicians and a place of refuge and healing for our community.

Caroline enjoys baking, board gaming, and entertaining friends and family in her home. She loves to laugh and seeks joy every day, through her relationships and her work.

Caroline looks forward to re-writing your narrative with you.
